The SH.1 loudspeaker has been in continuing development for five years. This single horn loudspeaker is a hybrid design, one of great simplicity, combining a full range 4" driver, housed in a reflex enclosure, rear porting into a truncated bass horn. By using this approach, alongside the particular construction of the bass horn enclosure, the loudspeaker produces seamless integration from detailed, open treble, superb mid range and for a horn, astonishing deep natural bass. We believe that these combined qualities are truly unusual in a domestic horn loudspeaker of this size.

Traditionally, horn loudspeakers utilize high pressure/low velocity at the throat and low pressure/high velocity at the mouth. In our design, we also use high pressure/low velocity at the port (throat). However, we break with tradition by loading the driver a second time at the mouth producing greater speed in the reproduction of the bass.

Almost without exception, all loudspeaker enclosures are heavily constructed. Breaking with tradition again, the bass horn enclosure of the SH.1 is built using 12.5mm ply and veneered mdf. This approach creates natural warmth to the musical presentation, again very unusual in a domestic horn.

In the development of the SH.1, form has always followed function. This has allowed us to design and produce a stunning loudspeaker that is both contemporary and aesthetically beautiful. Our designs are patent pending.
